I am motivated by supporting you to feel amazing and fully alive!

Pregnant & overwhelmed; I discovered the nia technique in 2008 when I was in need of a movement practice to feel strong and flexible... but also to find calm and stability for my runaway mind.

Now I am a working mother of three, and have been actively teaching in the Capital District since 2011... and never have I felt more fully alive!

My movement practices allow me to explore what feels good in the body, training the body to seek pleasure in fitness, and training the mind to experience joy as you dance through life.


Joining my classes invites possibility to your workouts. I like to provoke; to encourage you to move out of your comfort zone and dip into the magical place where learning and exploration happens.

Combining dance, martial arts and mindfulness, Nia tones your body while transforming your mind. More than just a workout, Nia is a holistic fitness practice addressing each aspect of your life - body, mind and soul.  
Nia is based on the intelligent design of the body. Each workout brings mindfulness to your dance movement experience leaving you energized, mentally clear, and emotionally balanced

MOVEIT NIA INTERNAL TRAINING

sweat & strengthen

moveIT interval training combines the 52  moves of nia in 60second bursts, with upbeat music, for a barefoot cardio workout that will sweat & strengthen

Gemma's moveIT classes are upbeat & invite you to explore the sensation of 'enough' in your body

bring a water bottle & a towel 

GENTLE NIA

move & meditate

set intention and move to calibrate your body with gentle nia

explore levels of movement in the dance, healing and martial arts
